Rescue Open Water Diver Certification

To Become an Open Water Rescue Diver, you must be a certified Open Water Diver, have a recent First Aid and CPR certification, complete the Rescue Diver course, which includes theoretical training and practical self-rescue and rescue of other divers, and finally, pass an exam. The course teaches you how to prevent problems and assist divers in various emergency scenarios, such as with tired or panicked divers.

First Aid and CPR Certification: You must have a current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, preferably from an agency such as Emergency Response (EFR) or equivalent.

Medical Checkup: It is important to have a satisfactory medical checkup before starting the course.

Course Content:

Theory: Five knowledge development segments are covered, including problem prevention, identifying at-risk divers, and developing emergency assistance plans.

Self-Rescue Skills: Exercises are performed to practice self-rescue in different situations.

Rescue Skills: You will learn how to handle emergency situations such as panicked divers, unconscious divers, lost divers, and others, and how to provide assistance and safety.

Drills: You will participate in rescue drills to apply the skills and protocols you have learned.

How to Get Certified: Complete the theoretical sessions and associated exams, Actively participate in all practical sessions in open or confined water, Apply your knowledge in rescue exercises and drills.
